All’Hotel Cavalieri di Milano si è svolta la serata celebrativa del progetto “Accademia delle due ruote” , iniziativa a favore dei ragazzi minorenni disagiati e dei carcerati di Bollate. Il progetto prevede 6 mesi di insegnamento in aula ed uno stage retribuito (che richiede una raccolta di fondi) per altri 6 mesi di occupazione presso concessionari per imparare l’arte del meccanico per moto.
La serata è stata onorata, oltre che da illustri ospiti rotariani e delle Istituzioni, dalla presenza del Dr. Parisi, il Direttore del Carcere di Bollate, che ha sottolineato come iniziative di questo genere siano fondamentali per rendere l’esperienza carceraria non solo un momento di espiazione per i detenuti ma anche di miglioramento e di formazione per potersi reinserire nella società in modo produttivo.
Il progetto Accademia delle due ruote, inizialmente avviato dalla Fondazione per le due ruote e dal Rotary Club Milano International, ha ricevuto il sostegno anche di Rotary Club italiani, francesi, turchi, tedeschi e brasiliani ed è in attesa dell’approvazione del Global Grant da parte dell’ American Rotary Foundation.
At the Hotel Cavalieri in Milan has been held the evening celebrating the project “The two-wheels Academy”, an initiative in favor of disadvantaged minors and the prisoners of Bollate. The project includes 6 months of classroom teaching and a paid internship (which requires a fundraising) for another 6 months of employment at dealers to learn the art of motorbike mechanics.
The evening was honored, as well as by distinguished Rotarian guests and institutions, by the presence of Dr. Parisi, the Director of the prison of Bollate, who stressed that such initiatives are essential to make the prison experience not just a moment of expiation for prisoners but also for improvement and training in order to be able to reintegrate into society in a productive way.
The two-wheels academy project, initially launched by the Two Wheels Foundation and the Rotary Club Milano International, also received support from Italian, French, Turkish, German and Brazilian Rotary clubs, and is waiting for the Global Grant approval by the American Rotary Foundation.
